Sleepover?

My kids had a "sleepover" last night.

I don't know why it's called that. There is no sleeping involved.

There is lots of screaming and running around. And Nerf guns outside my bedroom door at 7:00 am.

This used to be my living room. Now it is a "fort."

My son asked why I was taking pictures. I told him it's to keep me from getting too nostalgic when they grow up and move out.

You are a very wise woman. You'll see how wise you are when you're bawling over the sleepover pictures in a few (very short) years.

Haaa haa haaaa! Really, you're right about the no sleeping part. They're more like parent torture parties. Maybe they should be called 'wake overs' or just 'wakes' for short. And they will find even more ways to keep you from feeling nostalgic when they move out.

My husband is a night owl (happily; he works nights) so he was in charge of the midnight-to-7 shift during those overnights.

Our 4 year old just had her first sleepover at our house(we switch babysitting with friends, and we started making it all night). While I thought *we* were exhausted, her little friend- who NEVER naps- didn't make it out of the driveway, and slept for the next 4.5 hours.

I want that picture!
