First, a public service announcement: the new Knitty is up!
Go. Check it out. I'll wait.
There are two sweaters I flat out love from this issue of Knitty (or, as I've come to think of it, "the Romi files"--she's got the cover again! Congratulations, Romi!):
This one is by Jordana Paige and is called "Amused":
And this one, by Norah Gaughan, is called Surface:
I must have them both. Now.
I've already swatched for Amanda from A Fine Fleece:
(Still can't get a decent photo of this one. Sorry.)
I've worked out the colorwork for my Transitions sweater and the yarn has arrived and is just awaiting my attention.
And I'm still on the hook for--say it with me now--aplainblackstockinettecrewnecksportweightblackcashmerepullover.
So many choices, so little time! Any guesses what I'll cast on first?

Ooooh, I just discovered earlier that Winter Knitty went up too! My personal faves for this season are Amelia and Amused. And since I love knitting hats, I might consider Fern Glade too.
Which one will you cast on for first?
love those patterns! thanks for sharing!
I love that Norah sweater. I'm not thrilled about the bunching below the neckline of Jordana's design. I dunno. It looks weird.
I love Amelia.
I also love the first few days after Knitty comes out and hearing what everyone has to say about the patterns.
Amused & Surface are among my top favorites from the Winter Knitty. Overall, it's a fab issue. So many other patterns I want to knit too.
Oh I am sure you're all over Amused already!!
I love that Jordan Paige number as well! And it's a top down raglan - my favorite.
Amused hit my queue immediately. I think I'm going to try Cotton Ease... or Malabrigo. And I'm feeling the strongest urge to start it NOW. So much knitting, so little time.
I'm thinking you should start the Amused sweater first. I LOVE that and it's gotta be quick and easy because of it's construction. You won't even have to feel guilty about not starting the black cashmere sweater for your husband. Although I would like to offer some encouragement, you know that yarn is going to feel good going through your fingers. I mean, it's cashmere...
I was quite taken with that Jordana Paige sweater, too, although I am pretty sure it would look terrible on me. On you, however, it would be awesome!
Lola from the Two Black Sheep blog knit an awesome Amanda -- I would never have looked twice at it in the book, but hers is gorgeous!
I like the brown one best.
