Laura and Sarah over at Bella Knitting are having a contest. The goal is to produce a knitting story entirely in pictures. Here's mine

Yeah!!! I'm glad to see Icarus got to the recipient safely. She looks very happy and I'm sure you're glad to get this monkey off your back. Looks great. Hmmm... she's lucky, if I had knit the shawl, I would have been tempted to keep it and give her a substitute shawl from some store in the mall. LOL..

The smile says it all - and the grace with which it's falling on her shoulders......what a lucky girl!

Great story! Nice to see you had good weather for the Icarus transport. Looks like the recipeint is really happy with it.

So glad the lovely shawl finally made it to it's destination---without too much "adventure" for you, I take it..?

I didn't know you when you started the shawl, but I sure know the end and the struggle you had to get there. I'm glad you made it and she seems very happy. Great job.

now there's my favorite kind of story, one with a "happily ever after" ending!

Very nice. It was like being in labor for 6 months before finally giving birth!

That's a wonderful story. It made me cry. Especially the part where the bride kept it.

You left out the sobbing and throwing the knitting against the wall. Seriously, the Icarus shawl is beauiful and I was honored to actually see it as a work in progress!!!!

Hi it's Laura. So sorry I didn't get to comment the first time I saw this! It is fabulous!! I could feel the agony of running out of yarn and the joy in giving the gift. What a fun idea Sarah had to do this:)
