I knew I shouldn't have risked lace.
When the cast on couldn't discourage me, the ripping couldn't break my spirit, and the p5tog learned I was more persistent than previous evidence would indicate, the Knitting Goddess had to take a new approach. I discovered a whole new way to screw up lace.
I LOST IT!
Yep. I lost an entire shawl in progress, yarn and needles still attached. Somewhere between spinning group on Friday and sitting down to knit Saturday evening, it disappeared!
%&*$#@!
Nooooo! Retrace your steps. Surely you'll find it.
ReplyDeleteThat sucks so bad! I'm sorry, hopefully you will find it, you were so far along!
ReplyDeleteOh my.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find it. Lace is fun, just that once in a while it's a pain in the neck.
Oh no! Good luck on finding it soon. I have an umbrella that I've lost a total of 3 times, and yet miraculously I managed to find it again every time. Hope that will be the same for you. :-)
ReplyDeleteoh man- that kg knows no mercy
ReplyDeleteOh NOOOO! I really hope it reappears soon!
ReplyDeleteWait, let me go check under the seat of my car -- that's The Repository Of All Lost Things.
ReplyDeleteWow, I didn't see that one coming. I didn't see it when I left the spinning group on Friday so it must have been after that. Maybe it just needed a time out and you'll find it when it's ready. It makes it even worse that it was your handspun. It has to turn up! Have you accused your family members yet?
ReplyDeleteSending lots of location vibes to help.
ReplyDeleteSt Anthony, please help find the lace!
No f+cking way!! I am sure it's in the back seat of your car...
ReplyDeleteOh man...you've GOT to be kidding! Now that is just plain mean...
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI will have to post to my blog my hint... I always put a little tag in my knitting bag with my phone number, just in case I leave my knitting behind...
Sending up prayers that you get your lace back!!!! I wouldn't wish that loss on any knitter...
Holy Shit! That is the ultimate cosmic smackdown!
ReplyDeleteThis cannot be happening! May it turn up safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteUgh! Did you do something to piss her off? I'm so sorry. I really hope you find it!
