Been there, done that, too many times. One solution I have used to success is to use a different, but complimentary yarn for the bind off row. I try to find a darker shade of a similar color. It really frames the piece well. Or, rip out and redo!
That's the worse case of "bind-off suspension" I've ever seen. I send you my deepest sympathies. I'm sure I heard your shriek of frustration all the way up here...
That might have caused me to actually die!
ReplyDeleteoh that Knitting Goddess, she does have a sick sense of humor!
ReplyDeleteouch! I've been there, and it hurts.
ReplyDeleteOh no!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe someone else on Ravelry had a bit leftover from a project they did with that same colorway??
Do you have anything at all that matches??
Good luck!
Wow, that's cruel. But I second the idea to appeal to the Ravelry crew. I had to do that with my Malabrigo Sock Ishbel, and it worked!
ReplyDeleteShawl is gorgeous, by the way.
We are twins of a different mother.
ReplyDeleteRavelry!
ReplyDeleteAnd my word verification is "screarm". I'd screarm, too.
Oh no, it's happened to me too!

I cussed for you...
ReplyDeleteOooooh. No. Just.... no.
ReplyDeleteHey, I remember the Harlot writing about doing a bind-off with a crochet hook and it takes no yarn at all.
ReplyDelete=:O
ReplyDeleteOh NO! I hate it when she does that.

ReplyDeleteHell, I have some black Red Heart lying around somewhere. I could send it to you to finish that bind-off. No one will notice a thing.
ReplyDeleteBloody hell! Same thing happened while I was binding off the purple ugligan.
